Hello, I’m Matthew

While my professional background is in accounting, my passion has always been in storytelling and creative communication. Through film work, writing, and content creation across multiple platforms, I’ve been slowly building a creative path that reflects my desire to produce meaningful, engaging work that resonates with audiences. As a husband and father of three, personal creative time has always been limited (thanks to accounting).

Experience

I started a YouTube channel to share my thoughts on books, films, and products. I received books in advance from various publishers to have reviews posted on book release dates. My reviews have always been written and filmed. I create content beyond books as well. I have encouraged bible reading and the importance of faith in Jesus Christ. 

Film Extra  @  The Chosen  /  2021 & 2025

Film has always been a passion of mine. In my youth I wanted to be behind the camera, directing a story. In 2021 and 2025, I had the opportunity to be an extra on the hit series, The Chose.

Production  Assistant  /  2012

In 2012 I spent a few days as a production assistant on a film being shot in Oklahoma City.

While the job was never not consistent, I had multiple jobs working on commercials and training videos as a directors assistant. 

Education

B.A. Criminal Justice with a Minor in Art  @  Northeastern State University  /  2010

Criminal Justice was more of an interest than a career possibility. Chasing film jobs in college was a hobby and side hustle. I have been working in accounting for 14 years. I am ready to transition into a professional career in writing/editing, film, or  communications. If it requires creative thought, I desire it.
